About the Conversation
Negotiation --- It often feels like a "dirty" word when it comes to women leaders. The perception that you are greedy or aggressive if you ask for more money or equity in a professional setting.
I have studied, trained and developed several leading techniques to ensure women leaders get through the daugnting task of asking for their value, without apologizing for their deire to have a seat at the table. Honestly, I believe this conversation does not get the attention it deserves, and I am committed to changing the narrative.

Negotiating is not just a process of haggling over money at conference room table. It is a high stakes game of highlighting value with a fair consideration for the exchange. There is always a middle ground in an effective and successful negotiation, when all sides can agree on something that is satisfactory.
However, nothing happens without asking.
However, nothing happens without asking.
The pay gap starts for women leaders in their early 30's, around the crucial time that they may be establishing their family or have other personal obligations, which causes a long term professional absence. I remember the feeling of second-guessing my value after a 4-year professional hiatus following the birth of my son. During that time, the real estate industry changed and I felt a sense of insecurity when investors asked questions in closing meetings about my most recent experience, of which, I began to minimize my experience.
It was the wrong strategy
It has been my mission to change the "rule book" for women around the world, so they can end the feeling of guilt or inadequacy at the negotiation table. Never negate the importance of knowing how to leverage your value in the presence of stakeholders and decision makers, as it is a key strategy whether you have a job or building a high growth business/company.
Do not enter the room unprepared.
